Disaster Recovery

We protect the things we love the most. Insurance for our families, homes, vehicles and even pets. Should we not do the same for our business? Definately! Liability Insurance is not enough. It's a proven fact that data loss within organizations due to a disaster increases the chance of the business filing bankruptcy within 5 years by 300%.
At I-level Solutions we setup a complete disaster recovery plan for you. From start to finish, we map out the steps, equipment and manpower necessary to get your business back up and running within 24 hours.
We have a number of strategies available for your business. Here's an example:
You have a company server that houses all of your client information. This server is the hub of all data flowing within your office. It also serves as a data depot for offsite employees. A disgruntled employee decides to take matters into his own hands and wipes out the data in your shared folders on the server. Now, you have nothing! To make matters worse: your recent server data backup has failed!
Without a disaster recovery plan in place, it would be necessary to completely reload the company server. Recreate all the files and folders, templates and profiles. Not just days, but weeks could be spent rebuilding this platform. Some data may never be recreated.
With I-level Solutions Disaster Recovery, your data would be cloned and stored offsite. One of our technicians would drop in, restore the image on the server - and you're back to 100% productivity!
The question is not "if" disaster will strike but, "when". Be ready for it!
Network Solutions

One of the key components to a successful network is a properly installed network cable system. All to often in this business we see patch cable being strung from ceilings, or worse cable rooms that have network cable all over the place and not properly labeled.
At i-level solutions we believe that a well designed network is an art and as such we believe that networks should have the following:
- Properly installed network cable using quality cable and termination - not just long patch cables.
- Punch Down blocks to serve as a single point for all network cable.
- Network Switches with all cables labeled.
- Proper network diagram that shows all cable and other network equipment.
- Patch cable used only where it is applicable. Note Patch Cables are designed to be replaced. Therefore they should be used when connecting workstations to wall plugs, and connecting switches to punch down blocks.
- Quality Network Switches. Cheap switches are always a temptation for small business. However a quality network switch in the long run is the best solution as they will last for years, and without common failures such as ports no longer working, or switches hanging and needed rebooting. Quality switches also provide the best in network speed.
Well designed networks are reliable networks
There is a rule for network troubleshooting - when there are problems with networks - such as speed - problems opening files - problems saving files - problems with network printing it can almost always be traced to a physical problem such as network cable - bad network switch - failing network cards.
To Obtain The Best Networks
- We use quality switches by Cisco -D-Link - Linksys - 3Com - SonicWALL
- Quality Print Servers by 3Com - D-Link – LinkSys - HP
- Quality Network Cable and Parts by leading Vendors
- Quality Network Adapters by Intel - 3Com - Linksys - D-Link
Wireless Network Solutions
Wireless networks certainly have a place and at i-level solutions we are always looking at new products. Wireless Solutions are available that provide the following:
- Wireless Access Points - used to create wireless on a wired network. New access points contain features such as wireless VLAN options which means you can have both a secure wireless network for staff, and a unsecured isolated wireless VLAN for guests. Now your network is safe and yet you have created a wireless network just for guests.
- Wireless Routers and firewalls. Keep in mind that wireless routers and firewalls cannot support large networks with a single device.
- Wireless print servers. Leaving a printer in a mid location for access by all laptops and workstations.
